Timing Just Isn't Our Thing
I could’ve stopped myself early,
Listened to my head, rather than my heart,
But it was too hard,
Because I thought it would be so perfect
Because it would’ve been perfect,
For any other two people,
But timing just isn’t our thing.
Maybe if we slowed down, or sped up
The could have’s, should have’s, would have’s
Would have been easy
Because I thought it would be so different
Because it would’ve been different,
For any other two people
But timing just isn’t our thing.
If we just played by the rules,
It wouldn’t have been as much fun,
So we broke them
Because I thought it would be okay
Because it would’ve been okay
For any other two people
But timing just isn’t our thing.
So we got by on a little luck,
Some sneaky plans,
And a lie or two,
We made our own time
Because timing just isn’t our thing
And for any other two people
Timing is everything.
