Trees Have Feelings

Oh dear,
I hear that horrible noise.
1,2,3

I was just cut down.

Hear I go,
Above the world,
So brave, as I fall.

The tallest tree in America.

Here I am,
All alone,
As I am alone I hear two men.

How thick do you want this wood?

I am,
The tallest tree in America,
Being tortured for my life.

Trees have feelings too.

I originally wrote this for an arbor day celebration, but they wouldn't let me read it because it is about trees being tortured and cut down. But what they didn't understand is that I wrote about trees having feelings!!
