A blue canvas
Splattered with white
A large ripe melon suspended
In space

The string is cut
The melon falls
Dipping bellow the horizon

The canvas bursts with juicy orange
Royal purple
Tranquil pink

Behold the canvas
Vivid hues
Behold God’s canvas

Your use of words such as "juicy" "bursts" "ripe" "royal" "tranquil"... really make me feel the sunset - in all of its rich beauty. Thanks for writing this!

I really liked how you compared the sun to a bursting melon!  It really does look like that and I think it's a unique way of looking at sunsets (or sunrises)!
