A Love and Three Tears
Rushing home with my bags light
My heart does beat a flutter
I never thought I'd hear him say
But I swear I heard him mutter
I love her more than I can say
I see her and I stutter
There's not a day that can go by
Her touch brings forth a shutter
How I wish he'd tell me so
And treat me with an utter
Amount of love and deep respect
Don't throw me in the gutter
What will he say at school next day
As we cross paths in the hall
He'll stop me once and love convey
We'll wander through Montreal
He'll hold me tight and whisper
Sweet somethings in my ear
I pray that if he leaves me
I'll only shed three tears
Because I gave him three things
And this I hope he'll hear
I gave you love
My soul to you
And I give you my three tears.
