Been doing this for a while, took some time to get noticed
The skills and the potential to do many things, but many say I lacked the right motives
People tried to push me closer and closer to my books
Saying you can’t get by with just talents and looks
Remember back then when I didn’t have much living in Lake County
Matter fact many didn’t know much about me
But yet I understood what it took to be great
And how I could control my own fate, at my own rate
Remember when I was 13 didn’t have clue what I become
Years later can’t say nothing to me, to think where I came from
