Together and Apart

When we were together,
The world could fall apart
And we would never know.
We were young and in love.
A love we thought would always cast.
Then time caught up.
Our lives together were changing.
You were there and I was here
You had your things and I had mine
Yet, we still stayed
Then with a crash, things ended
In one fight we went from together,
To you and I apart
Now I sit here thinking
How sorry I am for the way things ended.
