~Dad~
You wanted me to cut the boards like you
I would have not been lucky enough, but lucky enough to touch wood
When you leave mom worried too much
I was not allowed but secretly I loved you very much
What I put in the poems I made so that I could tell you
You're still my father, for better or for worse
You get up at 5am so that we can have food on our tables
But it remains all the same, Daddy you're forgiven
What is said is said, what's done is done
I dipped my pen in my tears to write this verse
And if I keep all my old wounds
That's all I remember you did for me
In my secret garden the flowers have all faded
Time goes, everything goes, and not the love I have for you
I watch you from above you looking at me from below
You make my heart vibrate in your eyes
No one can enter my heart, its sold out
I love you like crazy,
I love you more as is allowed
And as in a flash you're back in my life
I say no to the jail, no more worries
What is said is said and what is done is done
And when I'm gone I hope you will stay
Dad I just want to say I love you.
