Golden stands shine on the horizon
Across the distance from the bench
A field for two competitors arises
Yet there is only room for one advance
With cheering fans in uproar
The two squads prepare for battle
Silence; no time for recreation
Only the coach will quickly utter
Yet the game begins with hustle
Twenty-Two feet pass and hit with true passion
As a goal is scored with style in minutes
All hope is lost, one will be defeated
The final minutes dwindle one by one
Ninety minutes pass; an ultimate victor
The game of soccer is complete
