As tears fill my eyes I glance out the window,
Bright leaves and flowers high and low,
Bring memories of warm happy days I used to know,
If I only to that calming place I could go.

The libraries shelves, stocked with books surround me,
With stories of romance and tragedy,
Only the tragic books I see,
A drop of water falls into my tea.
