The Kid
Smart kid
New kid
Bad kid
Shrewd kid
But still you’re a kid
No place in the world just a drop of water in an ocean of others
A grain of sand,
But even sand gets heard sometimes,
Its vast reaches soon become deserts,
A metaphorical crowd of voiceless kids,
We name our deserts,
Gobi, Sahara, Atacama,
But hey kid!
Find yourself some others,
Make a desert of voices.
