Holes
Do not belong in
Hearts
They belong in
Donuts.
Emptiness
Does not belong in
Souls
But in
Homeless shelters.
Desolation
Does not belong in
Brains
But in
The desert.
Cruelty
Does not belong in
Reality
But in
Storybooks.
So
How is it that
My heart has a hole
My soul feels empty
My brain hurts from desolation
And my reality reeks of cruelty.
I guess
I don’t
Belong.
