A Quiet Observer
Her eyes following your every action,
Analyzing your every emotion,
She’s watching you,
A quiet observer, from the hallway corner,
Observing your every move.
Her eyes make you restless,
You feel them on your neck, your back
You know she’s watching you,
Your heart beats fast, faster
She plays tricks with her eyes, being carefully careless
They linger just a bit longer, on your shoulder,
The eyes of a quiet observer.
A book in her hand, tired eyes,
Earphones blasting music in her head,
She hides behind the never ending pages,
But following every step, every breath you take,
Listening to the words you speak, the sounds you make
She sits in plain sight, in that hallway corner,
In a clever disguise,
A quiet observer
Every time you pass that hallway corner,
You become the tiny riddle, she can easily decipher,
Slowly, lazily, untangling you in passing seconds,
Tearing your existence into bits and pieces,
Sifting through little hidden details
She enters your soul, to entertain herself
You’re merely a puzzle piece to her,
She sits and solves you, lazily,
Watching you from the hallway corner,
A quiet observer.
