If you don’t start with it, it can’t harm you
If you don’t surround yourself by it, it won’t find you,
Taking away innocent people’s lives
With every breath inhaled

Every drag is killing them slowly
They all know it too
What could be worse than this cancer stick?
Addicted like it’s a necessity
Tar, nicotine, tobacco
Lungs blacken more each day as you pave a death road inside.

Teeth turn yellow with each pull

Rotting like an old banana
Clothing reeking of smoke,
Nails brittle and worn
Fingers in the peace position as you say goodbye to your own life,
This fog of smoke that encloses you in, so that there’s no way out,
It clouds your vision so that you’re not able to see reality,
It could happen to anyone
Even you
It will sweep you off of your feet
And leave you helpless
There’s nothing you can do now.
Once you’re hooked you can’t stop.
Should have never said hi to it,
Cause now you can’t say goodbye to it.
