Water
From far away, you appear harmless.
You make me feel strong,
You make me feel one with you.
I imagine you.
You are brave.
A small glass of you: easy,
A large blue deep ocean: scary.
You make a person
Feel smaller than ever.
How beautiful and natural,
How elegant and rhythmic.
You comfort me into your arms,
But when near, you frighten.
How terrifying is it?
You take what is not yours
You seize the words from lips.
How could you hurt?
With your arms open.
You swallowed him,
You swallowed me.
At night you posses a new name.
You emerge a powerful villain
You steal it away in the darkness,
My last gasping breath.
How can you be so calm?
All you brought with you,
Anger and sadness.
You are so terrifying,
Yet a natural beauty.
