"Frustration begins where knowledge ends" -Clinton Anderson, world-renowned horse trainer

There is a Golden Horse.
The one that doesn't wait, but looks on
Before he runs.
When the leaves fall
We'll come undone.

There is a Golden Horse.
He dances for me, heels to the sky.
On the morrow
Return to me.
Take away my sorrow.

There is a Golden Horse.
In the fields, below the rolling hills
He chases air
And blue swallows.
No derby can compare.

He thinks that no one owns him
Foreign from bits, halters, and all.
But I know that he will miss me
When the leaves fall.

My beloved buckskin horse inspired me to write this poem. It is about me going away to college this fall and missing him greatly.
