Where I'm From

I am from the great outdoors,
from the kites and balls stuck up in those big oaks.
I’m from the grass stains and mud traced knees.
from the “cops and robbers”
to the homemade forts.
I am from the hide and seek games and family nights,
from which I am made.

I am from waking up early
to get to church on time.
From the family vacations and mission trips,
I’m from the ranch.
From 25 fish caught an hour
to those deer hunts(that were cold and wet).
I’m from those family dinners,
from ice cold Gatorade
after a hard baseball practice.
I am from a delicious juicy hamburger
and a fresh coca-cola.
I’m from the smell of the ballpark,
(greasy hot dogs and fresh cut grass).

I’m from family,
from friends that I will always cherish.
I’m from God, a gift from above,
and on my book shelf is a book called the Bible,
it’s full of amazing things and in that book is a verse
that I want to live by and that I want to be remembered by.
My legacy…
This is Where I’m From

“My verse”
Philippians 4:13
“I can do all things through him who gives me strength.”
