I am the dark figure,
who takes turns with you,
playing follow the leader.
You are never really alone,
only at night, with no light to be seen.
Always looking my best in sunshine.
You tend to ignore me.
We are not that different.
Don’t I sit, stand and skip,
Just like you?
Long walks in the afternoon
Watching, pursuing every move you make
so precise,
almost as if I were you.
