Nothing's Perfect
That first day was as cold as ice
Dark like the night sky
But everyone knew
Everyone heard the tears falling
Gracefully they fell down her face
Dancing, laughing, and smiling at her.
That was the worst day of her life
She couldn’t believe her eyes
The whole world ended there.
Whooshing past her,
The air flew.
She knew the day would come
But she never expected it to be so soon
He watched as her liner blackened her face
But he knew it was the only way
She knew this would happened
That first time that he said “hey”
With her heart in her throat and
Her soul in his tight hold
They were soon gone
He took them as he went on.
She knew it was the end
It was her day
She wanted to be left behind
It hurt her to love him
But it killed her to hate him
There was never a right or wrong
Only a choice, a day that was now long gone…
