Looking In The Water
Looking in the water, should I tell you what i see?
Looking in the water looking back at me.
I feign to see the scene behind the riples I can't break.
For I fear that still picture lying on the lake.
I'll watch the condensation I exhale with each breath blind me of my reason to contemplate my death.
Looking in the water, I see a mixed emotion.
Looking in the water, where my fate is to be chosen.
Those crystal blue eyes searching deep in mine for the answers that chose to hide away.
Taking note of how happiness and horror seem to intertwine.
And slowly reveals a picture I would not portray.
Looking in the water, I see alot of pain.
Looking in the water, I see a life that's stained.
The face of an innocent child obliviously staring.
The face of this child has never known caring.
For all of this time, I've been hiding what's inside.
The fear of letting go was the fear of letting people know.
Who I am.
A face that's already been shattered looks like a face that's never mattered.
And as I look into his heart, I start to notice all of the scars.
Looking in the water, I see sadness.
Looking in the water, that brings to me madness.
Looking into those eyes, I can feel his cries.
Looking in the water, should I tell you what I see?
Looking in the water, I see me.
