My Reflection
You can see the trash can filled
With your worthless mistakes
The essence of regret lingers around you
As you continue down the narrow hallway
The hallway which holds the golden stained mirror
With the brass flowers attached
That wraps themselves around the side like a python
You look into the mirror
Where you can find the reflection
Of who you wish not to be
The reflection shows you the path
The path lined with the destruction of your past
And what could become your future
You want to run away
And try to find some life
In the hollow ground beneath your feet
But the dead black skies
Seem to surround you and swallow you under
With the rumbles of thunder
To have that reflection change
Into something that’s not hard to look at
Would be your only wish.
