Darkness thrives in a dark place hid, where all things undone did come undid;
In all things warm is it valid, and so it begins: And so shall it begin.
Darkness says the damndest things when amid a voice that sings;
And so, thusly rid of things solid, Darkness once more away is hid.

The author's comments:
A short little poem inspired by, of all things, the Hobbit. With a touch of William Blake, perhaps?
