Et Tu

Et Tu, Brute?
You betray me once more?
You left your footprints all over,
All over the room,
The scene of the murderous crime…

My son, my blessed son!
Forget you I, your father?
Forget you how to speak, dear one?
Et Tu, Brute?
All over the room…

Footprints in the blood,
My blood.
Et Tu, Brute?
So it is true, and you are he
Who commissioned mine mask of body,
You too, Brutus?

The author's comments:
This is a short piece I came up with one morning in my free time. Essentially, it is the assassination of Julius Caesar by the conspirators of Brutus.

Thank you for your thoughts! I'm actually studying to go into Forensics, so I guess this is kind of fitting...
