Hurting you is like H***
Like the sadistic tinkling of a church bell
Like words to you I could never tell
Like Roman’s great rule that fell
Hurting you is like ripping my soul apart
Like watching all my hopes depart
Like a thousand lemons taste, so tart
Like setting aflame to my heart
And burning every piece
Yet finding no release
In death and knowing
The pain will never cease
Hurting you is like the burning
Of a great masterpiece
