The girl gasped as the
bright light pounced across
the huge, empty room.
It struck her with such
an eminent glow,
she collapsed to
the cold floor. The light
flooded the room so
fully, there was no
room for shadows to
dance. It screamed at her,
demanding her:
“WAKE UP!”
She cowered, scared, in
the dark corner,
struggling to hide.
But she could never
escape from the
omnipresent light.
It stalked her like a
lion after its
prey. Its extreme power
wrapped around her,
filling her with
comfort, showing her
she could achieve
anything. Its very
essence gave her an
overwhelming peace;
a peace that temporarily
restored all. The light
repaired her broken
heart, tossing up its
golden rays to fall
upon her soft face.
