The whispering souls?
Blister through the rolls?
Of the Earth’s rough skin?
A sudden scorching within
Dead and yet seen?
Invisible still felt?
Can you hear them keen??
Or shall illusion melt?
For such lies the fools?
Delusions of unworth?
Imagining foul ghouls?
Destroying nature’s birth
Fool look to the truth?
Less exists in Heaven?
Than exists on Earth?
Your dogma is not given

The author's comments:
I have been discriminated against for my Atheism since I moved to TN. It was so bad the stressed caused me to develop schizophrenic symptoms (never fully diagnosed) in middle school. I thought I was seeing ghosts, spirits, etc. and they deluded me into thinking I was psychic. It was all in my head, hence the insinuation that those sorts of things don't exist.
