O Professor of studies I dare not delve into,
For fear of losing myself in a state of abysmal distress.
How I wish to inhale your wisdom, to learn under your tutelage,
Every obscene theory like a powerful drag of an undying cigar.

In a world on the brink of insanity,
Your ability to see through the smoke with a ruthless intellect
Could sober the egocentric masses thirsting for power and control,
As you push the threshold of every controversial topic.

Our conscious minds providing us with logical reasons,
Like smokescreens for the truth behind our actions
Lodged within our unconscious mind,
Screaming for a need to be addressed, to be revelations.

Like Oedipus, society fails to recognize its destiny,
Of tripping through endless circumstances of futility,
Leaving us overdosed with crushing humility.
To your logic, we are all addicted to our own neurosis.

Alas, my words may be futile,
For I am a trembling victim of this self-mutilating illness.
Withdrawal coursing through my body,
Your past words fall upon my breathless corpse.

“America is the most grandiose experiment the world has ever seen,
But, I am afraid it is not going to be a success.”
