My Special Flower
There was that one special flower
that always caught my eye.
Every time I passed it,
I would begin to cry.
The beauty from that flower
reminded me of you
Unfortunately you were gone,
and there was nothing I could do.
One day I picked the flower
and laid it on my hand.
The wind picked up out of nowhere
making it land on the sand.
Where it landed surprised me,
it really touched my heart.
You placed it over your grave, mom,
to remind me we’re never apart.
