Welcome to a celebration of truth, beauty, freedom, and above all things, love.~Moulin Rouge!

Every person has a mask; you have to look beyond the mask to see the person~Unknown

Reality is a lovely place, but I wouldn't want to live there. ~Adam Young

Lying in wait behind the crypt,
Where the sleeping vampire lies,
Fiendish Memnoch strikes a bargain,
With the unsuspecting immortal inside

Powerful dilemmas of his time,
In between what’s Heaven and Hell,
Once you thought there was no God,
But the Devil is alive and well

No red demon cloaked in fire,
No Hades come to steal your soul,
No bloodthirsty monster man,
No cowardly lion with no will

Blonde-haired blue-eyed brute,
Proudly prowling New Orleans,
Caught in the middle of Creation,
Torn in half by right and wrong

Minion to the male devil angel,
The solemn Ordinary Man in black,
The winged being no one notices,
Chained deep within Mayfair Manor

Lost his mind forever gone,
The point of insanity has passed,
Thank Him later, this single being,
You could never have been his adversary

This is a poem based on the novel I'm reading, Memnoch the Devil by Anne Rice.
