Who You Are

What you say,

cuts so deeply.

What you don't,

cuts so much more.

Seems like you pull me

into the pain you feel.

Because when you're

here, it feels like I'm numb.

And my stomach reels, and

I'm about to choke,
can't feel my heart,
it just broke.

It scares me to death

how I don't even know

you anymore.

You're not you.

But now

I am starting to realize
that maybe I'm the problem.

Because, in reality,
you're not who I want you

to be.

And it hurts,

to know that I'm

in the way,

every night and day,

of you being

whoever you are.
