Summer
As summer is approaching,
And spring nears its end,
We are all impatient
For the school bells to ring.
We want to come out and play,
Not sit inside and work.
We long for school to be over,
So we can be free.
We want to relieve our stress,
We want to put away our cares.
We want school to be over,
We really cannot wait.
But school is not yet over,
One more marking period to go.
This last marking period
Will surely be the hardest.
So the door outsides slams shut,
As we reluctantly take out our books.
Start spitting out those A’s,
So that we get good grades.
