Roses, Oh roses
Growing by the countryside
Clumps of thorny bushes snag and stab
Predators run
Ones that wish to destroy your beautiful petals
Away from the danger that lurks within
Grow longer
Grow brighter
More and more beautiful every day
Beauty is a thing you must protect
