Not pretty enough
Will I ever be good enough?
Constantly
Consistently
Continuously
Trying to please you
Trying to make you proud
Trying to do all you’ve asked
And for what?
I need more than what you can give
I need to grow
I need to change
I need to feel confident
I need to feel loved
I need to feel comfortable in my skin
Since you haven’t allowed for that
It's time for me
To leave this place
To take back what you’ve stolen
To spread my wings
To fly
