Are We Lying to Ourselves, or Just Each Other?
Lay down for a minute of borrowed passion
On this bed of crushed dreams
Don't worry about the consequences
Its only our hearts making pleas
Slide your hand along my face like you care
Cradle me tight, so I'll feel safe
Then take what you want and forget it
Love is what this has replaced
I don't want you, you don't want me
Letting go has never been so hard
And we keep this problem our dirty little secret
The blackmail, our get out of jail free card
This is just between you and me
And the repercussions between me and my heart
This has no affect on your mentality
But it's quickly tearing me apart.
