The Sleeping Bride
A sleeping bride in her luxurious bed tosses and turns
pillows surround her in an attempt to muffle the sounds that might wake her
how loud must the alarm be before she arouses?
the worlds piercing screams are obvious the sweeping voice of the wind is not
we must strain to listen
the wind is power encircling the bride she shouts her protests pushing it from her
surrounding noises dull the wind if we do not continually and attentively listen
familiarity of having already heard
when the bride truly hears- once ears are truly opened-
we cannot help but lend the sound of our voices
