Please...
Please don't forget me,
though time passes and feelings change,
Don't let the harsh waves of life sweep me away from your sight.
Please don't refuse
when I come to you for help.
Don't turn me away to the curb like the trash to get picked up.
Please don't persecute
when I can't help what I did.
Don't hold a grudge against me with an iron fist,
ready to beat me down like the others.
Please don't laugh
at my thoughts and ideas that are true.
Don't try to humiliate me to where the scaring will never fade from my spirit.
Please don't cry
when I'm gone.
Don't be depressed by the things I hadn't yet done.
For this, I ask you
for the same promises to be made,
so here's all that I will do.
I will help you when you need it.
I won't let your memory waste away,
I won't try to change who you are because you are all I want.
I won't laugh at your pain nor push you just to see the affects.
I won't cry when you're gone because you memories are happy enough.
This is what I promise to you,
if only you promise the same to me.
