Hollow be thy words, every one spoken,
Spoken from the lips of a hypocritical liar,
Do as I say, not as I do.

Deceit won’t bring you honor,
And malice will get you nowhere in life,
Destruction won’t bring peace any closer to you.

So take your hard earned prize,
The hollow glory of a heart well wrecked,
But when the horsemen come and call us all,
The emotions won’t be so bittersweet,
As you’re filled with regret.

Don’t fool yourself into believing no one cares,
Your decisions have rendered this cause lost,
And you end this venture how you started it,
Looking over your own shoulder,
Weighing out the options, and what’s your cost.

I’ll feel pain watching you suffer for your own choices,
But I can fly knowing this is what you chose.
