I sold my soul

I had a heart that yearned from loss,
A soul that danced, but for what cost?
A price to pay, a life to give,
When i met the stranger of my guile,
Swore to keep,
What was bound with blood,
A promise of evil,
To keep a life I loved enraptured,
and hide the world from me,
I, forever happy, but yet still evanescent,
A darkness pervades what once,
I lost.
