Inner Glow

Is happiness real or
just something you feel?
just a brief emotion or maybe
a form of lotion used to cover up
the hurt that's real.
Who can tell if what you show
is what some call inner glow or
just you being fake, it's a habit
like a pond that will
grow to a lake.
You must weed out all the
lies and trash,
only keep what deserves a
sash.

this is a really interesting conceptt. it really made me think about happiness in a different way, which i guess was your point wasnt itt? i feel like theres a lot of emotion in this poem too, like you really wrote from your heart and wanted others to understand your pain. great job, five stars :)
