They say, with gusto- with pride ringing in their voices
“It’s a Free Country!”
They boast about the long days of labor- the fight they endured
For our Free Country.
Many people lay, nobly, deep with in the ground,
Stained with the blood they sacrificed
To create this Free Country.
But I know. I know that many are told- are reprimanded with pointing fingers that shake in their faces with disapproval- they are told that they are NOT free to love.
They are NOT free to make their own choices.
They are not free to make a dream or a goal when it poses no harm, threat, or inconvenience to OUR FREE COUNTRY.
And suddenly, the stripes, red and white, that decorate the flag of Our Free Country, look a lot like bars from a jail of a Free Country, and all I can wonder does ‘Free’ mean “liberated?” “boundless?”
Does it mean that you are allowed live your life without any oppression or discussion or judgment?
Or does “free” mean “without a cost.” “No charge”
Does it mean “Take our hypocritical nation and don’t worry about paying us back because WE- Free Country- are only composed of lies and LIES are worthless- So let me say that Uncle Sam wants YOU to get rid of this “Free Country.”
