Favorite Quote:
In a real dark night of the soul, it is always three o'clock in the morning, day after day.
F. Scott Fitzgerald

Calamity strikes
Crashes resound
As infernos
Ascend, bellow
From unbeknownst depths
And they rubberneck
Gawk
For wrongful actions
To shoot an arrow
Through her reputation
But they discover naught
Just another one, they say
As they pry the door away
And they wrench her out
And she feels them
Staring, peering
Yet they do nothing
And they stroll off
Taking her torment
And creating their delight.

The author's comments:
I wrote this as a response to one of Sylvia Plath's poems about a woman whose house is on fire. I used a car accident instead, though.
