Death May Take Me
As I walk toward the cold arms of death, I cannot be comforted.
Though I am in much pain, and my agony is growing, I do not want to go.
I am told if I accept death, I will have no pain.
I feel weaker as the pain grows stronger and feel as if I cannot hold.
If I go now, I will know no pain, but I cannot return.
I must decide now, for the agony is unbearable.
As I walk toward the cold arms of death, I am comforted.
