The Truth Hurts

The day she told him his heart turned cold.
He did not care what happened between them.
Every day since he was told he wanted to get back at her.
He wanted her to feel his pain.
Although he didn’t avenge himself the way she hurt him;
All the ways he tried to get back at her succeeded.
His job was done.
Now look at him, without her he’s happier than he ever was before.
He got his revenge.
All he wants to know now is how she feels.
