Behind A Closed and Locked Door

April 10, 2011

I hid everything behind a locked and closed door,
But most would just keep it in a dairy,
With a key
I can fight off so much,
But I can only hide a little.
Every time I try and say goodbye,
I hurt and try and cry.

For today,
I miss the easy life,
Before you were here,
Daddy,
They locked you away,
Taking you away,
And Mommy too,
I'm lost.
I have no direction,
No way to go.
But for the strength I've gained,
I thank you.

Though I hid everything behind a locked and closed door,
It's got to come out one way or another,
And in hopes it doesn't shed any blood,
But only light,
Like the sun at noon.

This one is about my past. I was taken away from my parents because they couldn't take care of me. I became lost, and had new rules every where I looked. And now I find myself keeping everyone away. That I hide behind my poetry. So when I say behind a closed and locked door, I really mean me and my poetry. If I didn't tell you, you all would have had no idea.
