Moving Forward

More by this author
I will never forget-
My head wrapped with regret.
But still having hope
Down in the depths.

You tricked me once,
You hurt me twice.
I can remember,
When I thought you were nice.

That’s the past.
Now we know each other no more.
We put up walls,
And locked the door.

I don’t know if I’ll ever forget,
But I know one day,
I won’t regret.

Waiting for time to pass,
Because it provides the remedy.
Remembering when we spoke last,
It’s just a mere memory.

The world keeps moving,
As we stand still.
Time is soothing,
So I wait, as I will.

I don’t know if you care,
I wish I could say I didn’t.
Feelings aren’t fair,
Not for a minute.
