As She's Looking in the Mirror
Who is this girl who stands before me?
Staring back with wondrous eyes
Watching as life takes her through its ups and downs
On her own personal ride.
Looking there I see her face
Those freckles popped from the sizzling summer sun
That straightened smile on so wide
But who is she really?
You could notice that she’s lost
Or confused at many times
But from that look deep in her eyes
You know that she’s all right.
Glancing in that mirror, look deep within
You’ll see that she is happy
Setting goals up for her life
While reaching for a little thing called perfection.
She has the friends that were always wanted and needed
But cares way too much about opinions
This girl is trying to fit in
As she’s looking in the mirror.
