Will it Last
mesmerized by his dark brown eyes,
freckled face, and cheesy smile,
the feelings from the past start to come back
something she thought she would never feel again
her cheeks hurt from smiling, her stomach cramps from laughing
finally someone to fill the cold empty space a hole she thought
could never be replaced seeing him makes her day
while the thought of loosing him can break it
months have gone by and the butterflies still occupy her stomach,
when they’re together her words get jumbled
she’s nervous to say something stupid
yet she couldn’t be more comfortable
but at times she wonders if this one will last or will he
run at the first sight of conflict like the boy in her past
