Change It

A boy smoking with his friend
Wondering when’s this going to end
When’s the girls giving themselves up going to stop
When are the bullies going to realize that they’re not on top

A girl smiles in the mirror,
Wondering when’s it going to end, the suffer
When will the drugs stop coming
When will the alcohol bring her down
She looks one last time, she does nothing but frown

A teen on her first kid
Whishing she never did what she did
Wondering how is she going to make it
There’s no way to shake it

A gangsta posted with his “boy”
Thinking he’s just a toy
Obeying what is said to him, never his own
With the gun in his pocket, feeling he’s really alone

The boy gets to his feet, walks away
Without a say without wasting another day

The girl smiles, she changes her style
She starts to walk the extra mile

The teen tries her best
She’s says “I will beat the rest”

The gansta stops knowing this isn’t him
He leaves trying to turn around his sin

If they can do it why cant we
Why don’t we just be
Be the change
Make a difference
Lets start and change it
