Control

If I could control my memories…
I would keep the smiles,
The happiness,
And the warm embraces.

But the tears,
The pain,
And the hurtful goodbyes
Would have never happened.

If I could control your actions…
You would be here,
By my side,
Until the end of time.

If I could control our emotions…
There would only be joy,
Delight,
And the warm, fuzzy feeling inside.

Pain and heartbreak
Would be non-existing.

But our love
Would be never ending.
