Bitter Ends
My breath is shallow
My pulse ignites
My thoughts are filled with endless spite
Our laughs
Our cries
And each embrace
Have disappeared, without a trace
Without you, I have no purpose
You've stripped me of my self assurance
You've tarnished the memories we've created
To you I've elapsed, I feel sedated
I fear I'm not ready to let you go
Your tender feel I may never outgrow
These wounds inflicted will have to mend
And my constant peace is just ahead
Until I find anchor I'll curse this sky
Knowing it takes time for frail wings to fly
