Their rams are pounding
on the wooden gate.
Their spies are searching
for tunnels and cracks.
Their catapults are thrusting
boulders and bricks.
The fortress prevails!
The fortress prevails!
For night will not penetrate,
Night will never infiltrate,
The fortress of a mother’s love.
